Private knowledge base
Ask questions about your documents in plain English. Get answers drawn from your actual files, with references to exactly where the information came from. Runs entirely on your own hardware — no data leaves the network.
What you get
Your document library, answering questions.
- Plain English queries across your entire document library, or scoped to a specific client
- Every answer grounded in your actual documents — with source references, not AI assumptions
- Per-client separation — one client's documents are never surfaced in searches for another
- Query across document types — invoices, contracts, and correspondence together
- Completely on-premises — no data transits external services, no third-party AI access
- Updated automatically as new documents are processed and verified
- Available to your whole team from a single interface
How it works
Documents indexed. Questions answered. On your hardware.
Documents processed through the Vaedra pipeline are added to the knowledge base automatically once reviewed. Each document is split into passages, converted to a numeric representation by an embedding model running locally, and stored in a private vector database alongside metadata — client, document type, date.
Collections are organised by document type: invoices, contracts, correspondence, reports. This keeps retrieval clean — a question about payment terms doesn't surface noise from unrelated correspondence. For cross-document queries — "all outstanding items for this client" — the system searches across collections simultaneously and reranks the results.
When you ask a question, the system finds the most relevant passages and uses an LLM running on your own hardware to generate a response, citing the source documents. The AI models run locally. The data stays on your network.
On-premises by design
No cloud dependency. No third-party access.
This is not a privacy feature layered on top of a cloud architecture. The entire stack — embedding, storage, retrieval, and LLM inference — runs on your own hardware. Documents never leave your network to be processed, indexed, or queried.
For professional services firms handling client correspondence, financial records, and regulated information, the answer to "where does this data go?" is: nowhere. It stays on your infrastructure, under your control.
Suited to
Professional services firms managing large client document volumes, organisations with complex regulatory or contractual landscapes, and any business that needs AI capabilities without cloud data exposure.
